Cormac McCarthy’s Writing Style

Cormac McCarthy has a very unique writing style, at least from what he portrays in No Country for Old Men.   I tend to enjoy it for its simplicity.   His sentence structures are extremely simple; some sentences are only one word.   In that case, they may not be considered to be sentences at all.   Some readers might find this boring but I have found that it builds tension and excitement, especially in a plot line like this one.   I also really enjoy how the plot line flips to three different stories throughout the novel.  They all begin as separate and unrelated then eventually intertwine to create one big plot.   The story still flips, but only to explore the character different perspectives on the ongoing situation.
